COACHING AGREEMENT

The recommended coaching plan is to have six sessions, usually one every two weeks, unless we agree otherwise.

Sessions are online unless we agree otherwise.

Each session lasts 60 minutes.

Individual sessions, the 3-session plan and the 6-session plan are paid in full, a minimum of 2 days before the session or the first session of the plan.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session, no refund for this session.

WHAT I PROMISE AS YOUR COACH

  • Keep everything confidential unless there’s a safeguarding concern (see below).

  • Store your records safely and destroy them after an appropriate time.

  • Respect your privacy and only explore deeper areas if you invite me.

  • Book sessions in advance and respect your time.

  • Only cancel or rearrange if absolutely necessary, and tell you ASAP.

  • Suggest other support if something is outside my expertise.

  • Help you identify what matters most for your development.

  • Support you in figuring things out for yourself.

  • Help you explore options and generate new ideas.

  • Encourage reflection and learning from your experiences.

  • Encourage experimentation as you work toward your goals.

  • Give constructive feedback when appropriate.

  • Balance support with challenge.

  • Follow your agenda — not impose mine.

WHAT I ASK FROM YOU

Please:

  • Make time for our sessions.

  • Be honest and open.

  • Take responsibility for your own development.

  • Prepare beforehand if helpful.

  • Use coaching as a space to focus on you.

SAFEGUARDING, GDPR & CONSENT

Safeguarding, GDPR & Consent

If something serious is shared during coaching, these principles guide what happens:

Safeguarding Principles

  • Empowerment: You make your own decisions.

  • Prevention: Act early to avoid harm.

  • Proportionality: Only the minimum necessary action.

  • Protection: Support for those most at risk.

  • Partnership: Everyone plays a role in preventing harm.

  • Accountability: Clear, transparent decisions.

My Commitment

I will:

  • Be open about why, what, how, and with whom information might be shared.

  • Seek your agreement unless it’s unsafe to do so.

  • Get advice if unsure (without sharing your identity if possible).

  • Respect your wishes where appropriate — unless public interest overrides them.

  • Record decisions about sharing or not sharing information.

  • Signpost you to support when needed.

When Information May Be Shared Without Consent

Only if:

  • Someone else (including children) may be at risk.

  • Sharing could prevent a crime.

  • The alleged abuser also needs care/support.

  • A serious crime has been committed.

  • You have capacity but may be under pressure or coercion.

  • A court or legal authority requires it.

Why Information Might Be Shared

To:

  • Prevent abuse, serious harm, or death.

  • Allow early intervention.

  • Help you access the right support.

Privacy Notice

I follow the Association for Coaching and Universal Coaching Alliance Codes of Ethics. This means:

  • Confidentiality: Everything stays private unless the law requires disclosure.

  • Clear limits: We agree upfront about situations where confidentiality cannot be maintained.

  • GDPR: Your data is stored, used, and disposed of securely and legally.

I also receive regular supervision (which follows the same confidentiality standards) to ensure high‑quality coaching.

No sessions will be recorded (audio or video) by either of us. If you want to discuss tools like Otter or Fathom, we can talk about that.

Legal

This agreement follows UK law, and I operate in line with UK legislation.
